FAQs - Fast2Sleep Strips

Fast2Sleep Strips (FAQs)

How is Fast2Sleep different from other melatonin pills?

Unlike pills which often breakdown in your digestive system or take a significant amount

of time to work, our Fast2Sleep strips are absorbed through your oral mucosa

(superlingual). This unique delivery system not only makes the product more effective, it

expedites your ability to fall asleep-usually within 15-30 minutes. Another distinct

feature of our digestible strips is that our melatonin has been micronized and uniquely

charged to ensure absorbability, as well as bioavailability at a rate of more than 85

percent-a far better rate than the 15 percent bioavailability of pills or 35-50 percent

bioavailability of sublingual (under the tongue) drops.

How many strips should I take?

Most people will use between 1 and two strips. Your best bet is to start with one and

adjust based in your product experience. If you find a full strip is too much for you

(waking up a little groggy in the AM) you can tear the strip in half and use a partial dose.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

On average, how soon can a person expect to fall asleep after taking the strips?

Most people can expect to fall asleep within 15-30 minutes-give or take, depending on

their anxiety level at the time.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Where is the melatonin derived that has been included in the blend?

It’s synthetically derived to ensure standardization. Sometimes when you extract herbs

from a natural source, you can have variance from batch-to-batch depending on the

weather and soil conditions leading up to the harvest.

What is melatonin and what its benefits?

Melatonin is a hormone produced by your body that not only increases sleep efficiency,

it helps give you better quality of sleep. It is produced in your brain by the pineal gland,

from the amino acid typtophan, and is important in the regulation of many hormones in

your body. Women start losing melatonin around the age of 23, men around the age of

26. This loss of melatonin not only makes it more difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep,

it knocks your hormones out of whack, sends your cells out of timing, and shifts the

circadian rhythm to expedite the aging process.

The benefits of supplementing with melatonin include:

  • Accelerates sleep and eases jet lag.
  • Strengthens immune system.
  • Reduces free radical damage.
  • Supports mitochondria and ATP (the powerplant of your cells).
  • Sets the clock and timing of your cells.
  • Provides significant anti-aging benefits

The directions indicate not to exceed 5 times in a week, why is this important?

After five days of consecutive use, your receptor sites experience some saturation. This

saturation will allow your body to continue to benefit from the use of the product even

during the two days that you skip taking it. This cycling period is important because it

allows your receptor sites to reset.

Is there a medical reason for why individuals under the age of 21 cannot use the

strips (as indicated by your packaging) or is it a liability release?

While we know that there are studies that demonstrate that the ingredients used in these

strips are safe for children, they are not recognized as of legal age to consent.

Therefore, we would recommend that you should always consult with a physician before

administering the strips to a minor.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

If you wake up in the middle of the night and are having problems sleeping (like

2am) can you take the product? Absolutely. Unlike your prescription medications (or

even some of your over-the-counter sleep aids), you don’t need a full 8 hours from the

time you take the product to allow it to safely and completely pass through your system.

What can you tell me about the piper methysticum that has been included in

Fast2Sleep?

Piper methysticum is a naturally occurring herb that has been included in the blend

because it serves as an anti-anxiety agent and helps enhance the effects of melatonin.

Another great benefit is that it helps balance your mood.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Where does huperzia serreta come from and why has it been included in this

product?

Huperzia serreta is extract derived from Chinese moss that helps enhance memory

function and protect against free radical damage. It has been included because of its

synergistic relationship to piper methysticum. Together, they are believed to maximize

their anti-anxiety potential, increasing the effectiveness of the melatonin.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

The HPMC (hydroxypropyl methycellulose) in the strips, it is included as an

excipent or does it serve as a controlled delivery system (delaying the release of

the compound into the digestive tract?

The HPMC serves as a controlled delivery system. This helps ensure that while the

strips are fast-acting, they have lingering affects (the benefit of many hours of quality

sleep). Think of HPMC as a time-release agent for the product.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

As a follow up, from where is HPMC derived?

Naturally derived from cellulose.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

What purpose does carboxymethylcellulose serve and from where is it derived?

Like HPMC, carboxymethylcellulose assists in the time release of the ingredients. It is

also derived from cellulose.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Is the menthol derived from the peppermint oil? And what purpose does it serve?

Yes, the menthol is derived from an all natural source-the leaves and the flowering tops

of mentha piperita. It is included purely for taste. Some of the ingredients in the blend

are bitter. The menthol helps to mask the bitterness.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Does the starch help from the gel of the strip or what purpose does it serve?

Where is it derived?

Helps create the gel form for the strip. The starch is derived from corn starch.

Can you tell me more about the Polysorbate 60 that is included in Fast2Sleep?

Polysorbate refers to a classification of ingredients that are called “emulsifiers.” These

are ingredients that help stabilize a blend (usually one that includes an essential oil-like

the peppermint oil in Fast2Sleep) into a water-based source. The emulsifier (or in this

case the polysorbate) ensures that the blend of ingredients used in Fast2Sleep do not

separate from the strip. It’s also important to note that unlike other chemical or

synthetically derived sources of polysorbate 60, the polysorbate 60 compound used in

our Fast2Sleep strips is derived from a plant.
